VOLUNTEERS

Our helpers are all volunteers except for our part time yard manager.  They range in age from 15 to 70, are very hard to find and very valuable to us. Some are experienced with horses and helping the disabled but many people come to us with just a willingness to help and learn. 

 

 

 

 

 If you have experience with horses you may wish to help us with grooming, tacking up and leading.  If you have no experience and wish to learn we can provide training. You may prefer to help our riders with finding their hats and boots, walking alongside them while they are riding and assisting them in the tasks the instructor sets. Without our helpers RDA sessions cannot happen.  Some of our riders need three helpers; one leading the horse and two side helpers.  Please consider volunteering a morning or afternoon.  It will really help to make a difference!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you can tell the difference between Idris the yard cat and a pony, then you know enough about horses to be an RDA volunteer!  (We'll teach you the other stuff you need to know...)
